Chapter 22, Verse 38 is the precursor: “And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.” Later Judas betrays Jesus in the garden. Verses 50: “And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.” Verse 51: “And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed it.”
