Maus Falle (Time-lapsed Drawing): Steamboat Willie is copyright free, and here is my first drawing of the celebrated mouse! One might also view this as an exploration of florescent skin diseases.
Cataracts, Claude Monet, and Mistaken Identity: This is my first video after two complicated cataract surgeries. The most striking feature of my new vision are cool colors, such as vivid purples and pinks. In choosing a subject for my first painting, post-op, I was inspired by Claude Monet, who loved purples and blues, yet largely lost these pigments due to cataracts. A strange twist occurred on my way to completing this canvas.
A. I. Art versus Ironic History: Every great idea has its vital moment, and then it slowly fades away. Artificial Intelligence is late to the party. Its generators and creators re-envision digital art clichés without the self-awareness that this is exact business in which it is engages. This last layer of decoration may be described as decadence; but this is always how every creative epoch ends.
Undesirable Optics: This is a time-lapse completion of my latest drawing made with Le Pen markers.
The Kingdom of Estrogen: This is the third in a quartet of experimental animations from the early 2010s. This one explores the soft underbelly of soft virtues, where a species wills itself out of existence. This theme recurred frequently in my comic book art of the the 1990s. I dedicate this film to the late, great David Lynch.
